Product Overview
Our inverted vertical wire drawing machine (Model LDD‑800 as reference sample) is built for thick incoming wire drawing. It integrates drawing and take‑up within vertical layout without wire twisting during processing.
It processes low‑/medium‑/high‑carbon steel, spring steel, alloy steel, die steel and stainless steel wire, and supports large‑coil‑weight production.
**The main reducer is self‑manufactured in our own workshop.**
Standard configuration includes water‑cooled drawing mold box (water-cooled capstan is optional), five‑roller straightener, damped pay‑off reel and traveling take‑up trolley.
Note: Compared with straight‑line wire drawing machines which focus on multi‑pass high‑speed drawing for medium‑fine wire, this inverted vertical unit is optimized for thick wire and large coil‑weight production.

Equipped with motor‑driven traveling take‑up trolley. After drawing completion, trolley moves outward for convenient coil unloading, no complicated threading procedure.

Wire gets straightened before entering drawing die, prevents one‑sided deformation and out‑of‑round finished wire.
5.Automatic Stop Upon Coil Completion
Machine stops automatically once one coil drawing is finished, prevents equipment damage caused by unattended operation.
Key Features & Structure
1.Self‑produced Heavy‑duty Reducer
Main reducer is fully self‑manufactured by our factory. Gear adopts 20CrMnTi steel, carburized‑quenched and gear‑ground. High load‑bearing capacity, low noise for continuous heavy‑load production.
2.Water‑cooled Tungsten Carbide Overlay Welded Capstan
800 mm drawing capstan with inner circulating water cooling. Capstan surface is overlay‑welded with tungsten carbide to HRC 63 hardness for good wear‑resistance.
3.Combined Water‑cooled Die Box & Powder Box
Split‑type powder box and die box. Die box adopts circulating water cooling to extend drawing die service life. Die box can be adjusted horizontally and vertically for correct wire alignment towards capstan.
4.Disc‑brake Braking System
Butterfly disc brake offers stable braking performance, fast response and good heat dissipation.
5.Pneumatic Wire‑pressing Rollers
Air‑cylinder‑driven pressing rollers hold wire tightly for smooth coil unloading. Imported wear‑resistant high‑temperature nylon press‑rollers.
6.Thick‑welded Main Frame
Heavy‑duty welded main frame. All wire‑contact components adopt wear‑resistant treatment to avoid wire scratching. Take LDD-800 Type as reference , we use 20 mm thick steel plate, the total weight can reach 7000kg.
7.PLC & VFD Stepless Speed Regulation
AC variable‑frequency drive realizes stepless speed adjustment, comprehensive motor protection, simple maintenance.
8.Customized Frame & Capstan Solution for Fastener Production
For many fastener manufacturers, we offer special custom configuration: larger main frame matched with smaller‑diameter capstan, for example 1400 mm frame with 1200 mm capstan.
Fastener‑grade wire normally requires annealing after drawing. Most factories already own existing annealing furnaces with fixed inner working dimension.
A smaller finished coil outer diameter from the capstan allows more coils to be loaded inside their existing annealing furnace. This greatly improves furnace utilization rate, cuts per‑ton annealing cost without modifying their current heat‑treatment equipment.
The heavy‑duty large frame keeps sufficient mechanical rigidity and load capacity for thick high‑strength wire drawing, while the smaller capstan produces coil size compatible with customer’s present annealing facility.
We tailor frame‑capstan combinations according to your actual annealing furnace inner size requirements.
